About Capestries

I have been creating hats since 1973 and have appeared at many art shows and festivals throughout the northeast.
As a milliner, I sew many styles of hats and costumes using velvets, glitter and color. My work has a distinctive but magical feel to it and I've been described by some as "a creator of fairy tales", I live on a hilltop in Appleton Maine with my husband and many gardens.

Capestries has been worn on stage by Arlo Guthrie, Odetta, Rashad Eggleston, Jud the Jester, Trickster Fox, Antonio Roche, Charles Rossiter, Dave Sullivan and others at many theatrical and dance performances
